The Tale of Mr Cat

It's some three years since Mingus our cat passed away, and Lady Godiva a year before him.  I haven't been able to paint cats since then.  Don't know why exactly, but I loved painting them before their passing.  I guess it just didn't feel right.  We miss them, they changed our lives, they were our family. Of course we will always remember them, and the love they shared and brought into our home. So in a funny little way this first 'completed' cat painting after many years makes me feel a little happier. Makes us both smile. It's hopeful, and happy.   This one's for all the cats - all over the world.

  6. Love Mr Cat... I totally get where you're coming from... I lost my beautiful Jed 15 months ago and the pain is still very great. I still have Max and he's my BFF but miss Jed dearly.
