the magic of a single leaf

We both worked through the weekend, as we did last weekend, and will this weekend. We have a deadline due this Friday for Earth Greetings which is exciting.  The starting point of these designs is in the subject matter - native birds, and plants.   Below is a little selection of some of the plants we have been working from.  Jason and I both work in a very traditional style - we like that three dimensional reference.  And it's amazing what you really see when you really look.

    1. Hi Jen, some are from our garden. We have quite a few native plants, and some were found on our walk in the wild bush just a block behind our place... it's a mix of things, quite often found on the ground, waiting for a little attention. :) xo K

    1. thanks Kylie - it's challenging, but so rewarding. In so many ways, not just the art work side. That's the end result essentially, but it's that learning aspect we love very much. xo K
