superb blue wren

The Superb Fairy Wrens come and visit our garden all the time, and they are so incredibly small - they are amazing! They have the most beautiful colours, and for their size - remarkably long tails.  Since we are busy working on new designs, it seemed only natural to include one of our favourite birds in the mix! And no matter where you are, you too can have your very own little Wren!  Now in our online shop. :)

And now for the other fun bit - we have three of these lovely A4 Wren prints to giveaway! But we need your help. We are in the process of bringing out our larger size prints in the 40cm x 50cm size and we'd love to know which inaluxe design you'd buy in a bigger size. We can't do them all, so your help will be greatly appreciated in fine tuning the final selection.

Please check out our store and leave a comment below with your pick for the 40cm x 50cm designs to be in the running. Entires close June 4th, with three random winners drawn on June the 5th.  Giveaway is open to everyone worldwide! Know someone who likes inaluxe? Please pass this on :)

Competition now closed.  Thank you so very much to everyone, we loved your thoughts, ideas, and appreciated you taking the time to make this such a success, and so much fun.  We will soon be launching our new range of large size prints - hopefully the choices we make will delight!

And now for the other fun part! The winners of the giveaway are.... KylieVickie and Jaynie

YAY! thanks to random.org for picking the winning names. :) Now all we need is an email from the lovely winners so we can send you print over! Please email us at: luxo.iinet.net.au

  2. He is just fantastic guys! Really gorgeous. I have to say, though, that as much as I love your birds series I think your abstract patterns are more suited to a larger format. So... my picks for the 'GO LARGE!' project are my favourites of your prints... City in Pink, Duchamp's Answering Machine, and Labyrinthe de Roche... just my opinion ;)

  3. My pick for the larger sizes would definitely be 'Flora'. I think it would look amazing on a larger scale. And as second choice it would be 'Coda'. Very sweet little fairy wren too, love the blues.

  4. I think the large graphic prints eg coda, duchamps answering machine, the kiss, from Copenhagen with love etc would be really effective.
Am having trouble choosing which three to but to hang together! help!
A small series in 'families' eg birds, nature etc would be great so they could be hung in groups or alone.
I absolutely loved the Mother's Day Card too...thanks for sharing.
You two are a great team... keep it up!!

  5. hmmm short answer - all of them! I LOVE A Million Short Stories so I'd say that that if I had to pick one - otherwise any of the birds/owls.

  8. So hard to choose. My top picks would have to be "Sliced Au-Go-Go, Au Naturelle", "City in Pink" and "Duchamp's Answering Machine". All so very gorgeous!

  9. 'Keep it Simple Circle' is my favourite and would look great on a large scale but also 'Labyrinthe de Roch' and 'Duchamps Answering Machine' would look great too. :)

  10. Is that what those adorable teeny tiny birds are called? I love them! I went for a walk with my man when we were in Anglesea and saw a million, but he wouldn't let me take one home! :) (Probably for the best!)

I thought this was a really tough ask, picking just one image, so I've picked two. I think they are some of the older Inaluxe designs, but they are still winning: The Midnight Lovers and One Million Short Stories.

  18. Arrggh - how to choose? I think "Hootenanny" would make an awesome larger print - but all the birdy designs would be great - I may be expressing a little avian bias though! The wren is lovely. Good luck choosing your designs!

  19. I'm loving your new prints, your wren is gorgeous! For the larger size would love Flora, The Chrysler Builder and at least one of your beautiful Owls :) Can't wait until you have them in store.

  23. I think any of the "simpler" geometric-type prints would be great in a larger size - Chrysler Building, Flora, Keep It Simple Circle. I'd also love to see The Swantones in a larger format though. I can visualise that hanging above our fireplace very happily :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I will say anything birdie! But then I'm biased, 'cause I adore the little critters. I especially love this print - and of your others, the lovebirds one, too!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I adore your work and am especially crazy about birdies, so would love love love to win this so much. It's hard to pick a few but I would go for Duchamp's answering machine, Coda, Sliced Au-Go-Go, and Sugared almonds for starters. However I would happily have a house full of your beautiful images. The Almanac is so amazing I could look at it all day

  26. I'm inclined to vote for one of the owls, but I think prints like Flora, the Kiss, and Midnight Lovers would look spectacular!

    ReplyDelete
  27. This wren is my favorite of your birds so far! My choices for the larger print would be as follows: "Keep it simple circle", "Forest of three," and "Coda" but really, any of your prints would translate well onto a larger format!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Love your new wren - just delightful! I think any of your Mid-Century geometric shape pieces would work really well in a larger size: Conversations in Summer, Sliced Au Go Go, Sugared Almonds. But then the owls would look great in a larger size too!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Designs such as 'One million short stories' or 'The Kiss' would look wonderful as larger prints. You wouldn't be able to walk into a room and not be taken by the vibrant colours and beautiful designs!

    ReplyDelete
  30. You KNOW it's too hard for me to choose. My favourites include the classic Orbital, and I also love Duchamp's Answering Machine. But as for what would look good large, I think it would have to be One Million Short Stories - it looks fabulous, and is a conversation/story starter in its own right!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I adore blue wrens.... how I love them flitting around our garden :) For a larger print, I must admit, for me it could be any bird, be it owl or wren :::love,love::: Coming from left field I would also like to see Labyrinthe de roche - all brilliant colours and designs in their own way...!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Tough call. But if I had to pick one I would say the kiss

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh how I'd love to be an owner of an Inaluxe print! I especially adore your geometrics, The Happiness and From Copenhagen with Love would be great at a larger size.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Every moment makes a story but Inaluxe does more! Not only by the great colours that are used, but also by the great designs and specific geometric shapes. Inaluxe knows how to illustrate. Dreams seems to be connected with soft patterns and colourblocking figures. Works as "The Happiness", "Flora" & "The Lesser Sooty Owl" makes you smile. Very stylish to brighten your interior this way!!!

  35. It's so very hard to choose as I love all your work but I especially love your geometric and retro inspired works. Of the newer works I would choose Coda, the Almanac, Labyrinthe de Roche and DUchamps Answering Machine and for the older works I would choose the gorgeous Flora, Chrysler Building and The Kiss. I also think Balancing Act, Kindred Spirit, Looper and the Bird Talk series would look great in a larger format. Can't wait to see which ones you choose!

  38. I love your work! I like a forest of three and there was one very similar with a bit more forest, which I can't see in the store anymore (not sure of its name) when I pinned it I had 34 repins and 16 likes, this would look fantastic in my new white kitchen. Also it would match the trees I look at outside my window in northern california, I would, however, love to have a little aussie touch!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I like the simpler stuff in the large format, like Forest of 3, or Million Short Stories. I just like you work all over the place :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow, not seen your work before but I love it....I love all the birds but I'd have to go with the Sliced Au Go Go

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'd also pick 'Colour-fall." It really caught my eye and I love that it's a vertical print!

Your entire bird series is fabulous, and I think that blue wren is one of the best ones. Thanks for the chance to own one!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love the little wren and would love to have it on my own wall! The print that I would pick for the larger size would be the 'Treetop Shenanigans' print. Though you do make it hard to pick just one!

    ReplyDelete
  52. The Blue Wren is so delightful, I'd love to have it hanging at my place!!
In terms of large scale prints, I can't go past Flora, Coda, Duchamps Answering Machine and Sliced Au-Go-Go. Good luck with narrrowing down the options, there are just too many gorgeous ones to choose from!!

    They're all divine!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Love that little Blue Wren. I would also love to see one of those stunning, colorful owls LARGE. I don't know how you will narrow it down. They are all so wonderful and would be a great statement piece anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm all over Inaluxe like syrup on hotcakes!!! My favourite is the "Alpine" that would be awesome in the bigger size, its extra special to me as it reminds me of going skiing and my hometown which is surrounded by forest.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow, they are all so sweet! Personally, I'd be more likely to get the more abstract ones in a larger size (the birds which are super sweet I'd probably put in my daughter's room so would prefer it smaller). My personal faves are;
Alpine, Sugared Almonds, Conversations in Summer and Sliced Au-Go-Go. Fabulous work!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Such beautiful work! I'd love to see the 'Colour-fall' print in a larger size.

    ReplyDelete
  58. There are so many there that I think would look great in the larger size- but my favourites would have to be the ''A Forest of three'' and ''Colour-fall art''

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love all the big retro ones but Almanac takes the cake. So here : Almanac!!! Duchamp!! And tie for third, the Kiss and Coda!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I love them all :) But I love the one you have for this post 'Superb Blue Fairy Wren'...striking colours.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I love all of them but the Superb Fairy Wren is my favourite - its the blue and grey combination - but coming a close second is the Sooty Owl in technicolour. I have only just discovered your site and am so excited about it! Beautiful stuff! :o)

    ReplyDelete
  62. As soon as I saw 'from copenhagen with love' back when you first posted it I couldn't stop looking at it! That would be my pick!
You have a wonderful way with colours - and names... I love the names!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I can't wait for your larger prints!!

My top three favourite designs are:
    1.Group Hug
    2.Bird - Talk Twilight
    3. and your new Atlas 39!

    Brilliant designs! :: Deb Aspden

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think Colour-Fall would look great as a large print. And a large Swan Lake print would be adorable in a nursery. It's hard to choose, though, because they are all great!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Conversations in Summer would look super cute as a 40 x 50cm print. That little fairy wren really is cute, love all your work, you two x

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh my giddy aunt I love them all!!!!!!!!!! In particular 'Conversations in Summer' and 'Atlas 59'. You should definitely print larger and you should definitely select my name to win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Oh boy, this is not easy because I can imagine so many of them in a larger format (I did share this superb giveaway in several location (despite the competition - I know you want/need as much feedback as possible...)

While I personally adore your "Belly Rubs & Fox Cubs" - two others that come in a very close second (tied) are "Kindred Spirits" and "Bird-Talk Twilight"...

But honestly, there are so many others. I should also mention that among your many talents is a gift for words and "naming" your creations - I couldn't help but notice that others have commented to the same effect: that as soon as they saw the Name/Title they fell in love... and THAT is something!

    Jessterlyn(at)aol(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  68. I would love Bird-Talk Twilight in any size with those wonderful colors and graceful lines, but it would be extra fabulous in one of the larger sizes. Crossing my fingers!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Like many before me have said, all of your prints would look fantastic in the larger format and it is a very hard choice to narrow them down! The only way I could to it was to give my top 4 from the newer range of prints and my top 4 from the prints that have been available a little longer:

    Newer
    1. Coda
    2. Atlas 59
    3. Atlas 39
    4. Labyrinthe de Roche

    Older
    1. Flora
    2. The Chrysler Building
    3. The Kiss
    4. Balancing Act

Best of luck with making your choice!

P.S. I should say that I love the newer and older work just the same :)

  70. I just looked you up from an old Frankie mag and was looking for info on larger sizes when I saw this post! In a larger size I would pick Sugared Almonds although I love many others as well.
